Quality Assurance

SEA can guarantee delivery of high-quality umbilical weight and strength elements on schedule and within budget giving you peace of mind knowing umbilical closure can take place on time. Also, our team of expert inspectors is available to give you the second or third party quality assurance that you need on your complex projects.

SEA is ISO accredited to, 9001, 14001, 45001, 17020, and 17025 and our certified IWE welders work according to ISO 9606-1:2012, 14175, 14341, and 15608. At SEA we also run our own custom built pressure test laboratory designed for destructive testing of stainless steel hollow tubes to give you the product assurance that you require.

In our manufacturing department, we also assure quality by using a 3D laser to measure products against design specification.

Repairs and Upgrades

Take advantage of the circular economy and keep your reels rolling by refurbishing them at SEA. We have our own sand blasting and painting facility to efficiently manage all your refurbishment requirements. We can manage your reel catalogue and let you know when your reels need refurbishing. We have an extensive list of painting and refurbishment options available on request.

Don’t scrap your reels, reuse older designs and repurpose them into a new design providing a significant cost saving verses building a new reel. We can provide cost effective solutions for changing the flange and/or barrel size.

Logistics

Our logistics team is here to deliver your valuable products; with years of worldwide export and import experience you know that your shipment is in good hands from the moment it leaves our manufacturing facility to the moment it arrives in your facility.

SEA owns a fleet of HGVs that have driven over five million kilometres accident free. We have developed a class leading rigging and slinging standard for transporting large products like cable reels. We also provide, advanced sustainable transport solutions utilizing second generation biofuel to radically cut CO2 emissions.

If you have limited yard space, our team can also provide storage of your products and deliver them just-in-time. SEA can provide cost effective bundled solutions for manufacturing and transport.

Manufacturing

We bring sustainable manufacturing solutions enabling SEA to purchase steel from suppliers prioritising recycled steel to lower Scope 3 emissions.

Unrivalled manufacturing competence covering, Reels & Drums. Rods & Wires, Machines & Automation, and Inspections & Testing.

Our team of expert welders have built over 5,000 reels and refurbished over 13,000 reels. With our years of experience, we have manufactured a vast number of steel structures.

SEA can also manufacture robotic workstations that represent modern solutions for fully automating production processes.

Design and Engineering

We have an in-house design and engineering department that can optimize your designs and think out of the box to help provide new solutions to your challenging problems.

Custom-made, cost saving, and proven equipment designs are made using state of the art Solidworks® software to the highest quality standards.
SEA can build bespoke hi-tech mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, as well as state-of- the-art automated production lines. SEA also writes and develops the software to operate these machines and production lines.

Project Planning

Our project management team and design engineers will work with you to ensure the design scope exactly meets your technical requirements, cost, and delivery schedule; so you get the machines and equipment for the price you want and when you need them ensuring you can start production on time.

A major project required the management and coordination of six different suppliers. The project planning team managed the coordination of each stage of the project to ensure the manufacturing timetable was met. Successful planning ensured the equipment was delivered weeks ahead of schedule.
