Smart engineering, real impact
For @one_subsea ‘s new umbilical production line in Norway, we designed and delivered 49 custom A-frames – tailored to meet strict safety standards, ready for future upgrades, and built to perform in arctic conditions.
The entire project was completed three weeks ahead of schedule, with smooth coordination across six production sites and a focus on client-first communication.

What is a green reel? A green reel is a steel cable reel manufactured using steel made using an Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) with 100% recycled steel and that is powered using electricity produced by 100% renewable energy sources. Sound like a dream?
Not any longer, at SEA we have started on our journey to build the ‘green reel’. We are proud to deliver new reels to JDR Cable Systems which are the first reels we have ever produced where we can certify that we have preselected a vendor guaranteeing the use of >50% recycled steel.
We continue to work with our supply chain partners to source EAF steel produced from 100% recycled steel like CMC Poland. At SEA we are planning major Scope 3 emissions reductions per product during 2024.
Our goal is to continuously reduce the emissions of our reels to produce certifiably the lowest emissions steel reels on the market.
Together, Today, Tomorrow we can do our part to continuously drive down global emissions.
