By straightening, welding, and spooling your rods & wires onto reels, SEA can be your one-stop shop and can guarantee a significant reduction in the number of welds required at closure, saving you time, saving you money.
Premium cable reels
SEA sets the standard with our in-house designed and manufactured steel reels that can be coated with polyurethane to ensure the protection of stainless steel products; We spool the welded rod and wire sections using our capstan up to 3400mm flange reels; After spooling we pack the rods and wires with porous film to protect against potential tarnishing;
Straightening and spooling
SEA can offer you an unprecedented range of weight and strength elements including steel rods up to 20mm OD, wire rope up to 35mm OD, and carbon fiber rods and bundles made using our custom designed lay-up machine; Straighten factory supplied coils using custom built wheels designed for your OD; Provide continuous real-time 4-point laser measurements of rod and wire OD; Strict control of product quality throughout the production process; Join the coils with full thickness welds and ensure weld quality inspection by X-ray in three positions; We have multiple product lines allowing increased production capacity, providing identical results; We have the agility to apply lessons learned and to rapidly modify the production process;
Transport and logistics
The final element of the one-stop shop is transportation. SEA can also safely transport your spooled products to your facility just-in-time ready for umbilical closure. We can efficiently manage the export and import of your umbilical products, minimizing your costs and optimizing your value chain;
